From an elder bonded pair who’ve had no interest from possible adopters to a one-eyed cutie, these cats are just a little bit different but no less deserving of loving forever homes.

That’s why an RSPCA branch has shared their details in a bid to get them adopted by the caring owners they need.

Natalie Archer, funding and special projects manager at the RSPCA Canterbury and District branch, said: ‘We’re seeing lots of cats coming into our care at the moment but sadly rehoming them has slowed down.

‘If you’re looking to bring a cat into your life, we’d urge you to please consider a rescue cat.

‘Some of them may have had a sad start in life but now they have so much love to give.’

Fella

Five-year-old Fella used to be a stray and came into the care of the RSPCA with a bad eye injury, which meant he needed to have it removed.

Understandably he was a bit grumpy when he was first getting to know staff, he’s now opening up and enjoying some fussing from his caregivers at last.

After plenty of TLC, he’s finally ready to move on to a loving new home with either only adults or older children.

He’ll also want access to the outdoors so that he can do some exploring.

Bobby

Young Bobby is just one year old and is another former stray.

He came to the RSPCA after he was taken to the vets by a good samaritan who found him on the streets with a very bad tail injury.

He ended up losing the appendage, but now that he’s recovered this cutie needs to find his first-ever home.

Natalie said: ‘Due to his sad start in life, Bobby really deserves a little bit of luxury and time to settle into his new home. He’s a huge foodie, probably because he hasn’t had a regular food source before.

‘This little lad needs to be given a chance, he’s a real survivor and now just needs some rest and time to recover.’

He’s after a home with older children, and access to the outside. Bobby also wants to be the only cat in the home.

Hope and Lucky

Lucky and Hope are with the RSPCA because their owner sadly passed away.

This sweet 12-year-old pair is looking for a retirement home together to see out their golden years, but they unfortunately haven’t had any adoption interest at all.

Natalie said: ‘These two senior “kittizens” would like to find a home that can give them the life they were used to – plenty of Dreamies and tuning in to Autumn and Springwatch.

‘We have had no interest in them from potential adopters whatsoever, and we can’t understand why as they are two lovely cats. We hope their age hasn’t put anyone off – age is just a number, remember!’
