A dog was left wagging its tail after being tied to a lamppost – because he didn’t realise he was being abandoned.
Devastating CCTV footage obtained by the RSPCA shows the moment Bruiser the American Bulldog was led towards the post by his owner in the early hours of the morning.

His lead was then looped around the lamppost, in Clyde Street, Stoke-on-Trent, and the man walked away.
Bruiser was left confused following the incident on Monday.
