A cat who was cooked in a microwave by its owner in retaliation for scratching him has been given a new home – and has also become the star of her own book.
Black-and-white cat Nancy suffered serious burns and ‘acute stress’ when she was placed inside the cooker for five seconds.
RSPCA inspectors said the cat was hot to the touch, breathing heavily and her head was hanging low when they found her.
Officers brought her to the Stubbington Ark rescue centre, near Fareham, Hampshire – and now she has a new home.
