A minor TV celebrity in America has pleaded guilty to harassing an owl, after filming a video in which he boasted of having ‘kicked an owl’s butt’.
In the video, which was filmed in 2011, Dell Schanze can be seen chasing down and kicking an owl while paragliding, before boasting about the cruel act.
After following the animal for nearly 7 minutes on his powered paraglider, he is heard to shout ‘Who’s the predator? HOO-rah! I kicked an owl’s butt!’
But on Friday, Schanze pleaded guilty to using an aircraft to harass wildlife and pursuing a migratory bird, despite having told reporters to ‘tell the truth ‘cause the liar will be thrust down to hell’, only a day before.
