An unwanted pet hamster found abandoned on a bus has been rescued by the RSPCA.
The Russian Dwarf Hamster – which has been named Ivana – was found on a London bus in Brent Cross earlier this month.
She was left in a cage with clean bedding, food and water.
RSPCA staff took her to the Southridge Animal Centre in Hertfordshire for rehoming.
Animal rescue officer Philip Heyes called Ivana’s abonnement ‘very undignified’.
He said: ‘It is very sad that she was left in this way, and we’re glad we could get to her before she came to harm.’
Ivana has been described as ‘very alert and active’ who loves running on her wheel.
