A church cleaner who stamped his partner’s cat to death because it stained his carpet has been spared jail.
Thomas Hogarth, 63, told Aileen Holmes she was ‘fucking next’ after he brutally attacked her cat.

A court heard how Hogarth stamped on Sophie, a nine-year-old tortoiseshell cat, and threw her bloodied body in a bin.
When police arrived they found a large pool of blood on the patio and red spatters on the fence.
