A dog had her claws ripped out before being dumped in a bush and left for dead this week.

The black and white spaniel was found injured beside the A20 road in Harrietsham, Kent, on Tuesday evening.

Gang on mopeds pictured riding through central London grabbing people's mobile phones

A passer-by took the one-year-old bitch, which was nicknamed Flick, to a nearby vet who alerted the RSPCA.

A woman has been banned from keeping animals for life after two of her dogs died and eight other pets were kept in filthy conditions.

More than 1,000 dogs destined for slaughter ahead of Yulin festival rescued

Adele Ankers, 39, from Heol Maelor in Coedpoeth, pleaded guilty to Animal Welfare Act offences, concerning two German Shepherds, two terrier dogs, two cats and four kittens.

A rescue dog taken in by the RSPCA has a totally new life now – as a bomb sniffer, thanks to her expertise in finding lost balls. 

Roxy, a Staffordshire bull terrier, is now known as PD Roxy and she’s a police explosives dog.

She might have waited months in West Hatch kennels hoping to find another family, but instead she was talent spotted because she was so good at finding tennis balls.

Even if the balls were hidden, Roxy was able to find them with incredible accuracy.

It impressed kennel supervisor Sue Dick so much that she contacted a police dog trainer about the potential new recruit.

A dog owner has been jailed for the extreme neglect of three dogs he kept in ‘unbelievably squalid’ conditions.

Lesie Michael Bishop, 52, pleaded not guilty to five charges under the Animal Welfare Act after causing ‘obvious suffering’ to three Akita dogs called Niko, Nikita and Storm.

In a statement read out to Teesside Magistrates’ Court, RSPCA prosecutor John Ellwood said: ‘This defendant kept three large Akita dogs at his home.

‘Two he appears to have kept in a yard in conditions which were unbelievably squalid, and another he kept indoors in unsatisfactory, cramped and untidy circumstances.’

Devastating CCTV footage obtained by the RSPCA shows the moment Bruiser the American Bulldog was led towards the post by his owner in the early hours of the morning.

A man who was filmed cruelly beating his dog in a pub garden has been banned from all contact with animals.

Daniel McCreedy, 33, dragged the helpless Staffordshire bull terrier across the floor by his collar before pouring some of his pint on the dog.

In 20-minute footage, he was seen punching and kicking the defenceless dog.

He subjected the dog to nine blows to the head while it was under the table, and kicked it in the groin area.

A woman stamped a seagull to death in front of a horrified crowd of shoppers and small children.

People tried to stop her attacking the bird, but she carried on regardless and it died of wounds to its head.

Police were called to Sidwell Street in Exeter, Devon, on Friday afternoon.

They said a 24-year-old woman was spoken to and will be questioned later.

She was described as being very drunk at the point she targeted the seagull.
